Nursery Teacher Job Opportunity in Wakefield

We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our client's primary school in Wakefield.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in phonics and be able to teach and assess children across various age groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Phonics Instruction: Deliver high-quality phonics instruction that supports literacy acquisition and promotes a love of reading.
  • Curriculum Planning: Plan and deliver a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that promotes social and emotional development.
  • Staff Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive assessment strategy that informs teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working within an EYFS setting, preferably in a Nursery class.
  • Strong understanding of phonics principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
