Support Worker for Young People with Special Needs

We are seeking a Support Worker for Young People with Special Needs to join our team at Axcis Education Recruitment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of learners with complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for building relationships with pupils, promoting a positive attitude towards education, and encouraging them to engage in all school activities. You will also provide support to help pupils reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, patience, and understanding when working with young people with complex needs. A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate is a requirement for this position. While experience working with young people with complex needs is beneficial, it is not essential.
Main Responsibilities:
•Build relationships with pupils, promoting a positive attitude towards education
•Encourage and motivate pupils to engage in all school activities
•Provide support to help pupils reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally
