Role Overview:

Axcis Education Recruitment is currently seeking a Behavioural Mentor for Complex Learners to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of learners with complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties, and challenging behaviour.

As a Behavioural Mentor, you will be responsible for building relationships with pupils, promoting a positive attitude towards education, and encouraging them to engage in all school activities. You will also provide support to help pupils reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, patience, and understanding when working with young people with complex needs. A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate is a requirement for this position. While experience working with young people with complex needs is beneficial, it is not essential.

Responsibilities:
•Build relationships with pupils, promoting a positive attitude towards education
•Encourage and motivate pupils to engage in all school activities
•Provide support to help pupils reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally

Work Environment:
•Diverse group of learners with complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties
•Hands-on activities and practical work included
