Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs Professional


Location: Wakefield


Salary: £23,400 - £24,700


Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only


Leader Recruitment Group is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide curriculum-based support in the classroom, on home tuition, outreach, and through outdoor activities, inspiring students to achieve their best.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a commitment to making a real difference in their education. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous, but not essential.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Mentor and Support Learners: Provide curriculum-based support in the classroom and through outreach activities.
  • Assist with Learning Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and delivery of objectives.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly report on learners' progress and any barriers to learning.
  • Engage with Parents/Caregivers: Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to support each student's educational journey.
