About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Pulmonary and General Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with respiratory and general medicine conditions
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • MRCP UK (or equivalent) and entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register
  • Experience in teaching and training junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead a team of healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development
