Job Title: Acute Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and clinically focused individual to join our team as an Acute Medicine Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and supervise a full range of Emergency Medicine care to adult and pediatric populations.
  • Provide Emergency Medicine care at all satellite sites as required.
  • Engage and support the department through departmental management roles, including clinical governance, teaching, supervision of junior staff, training, and quality improvement.
Requirements:
  • On Specialist register in EM or within 6 months of CCT.
  • Full GMC Registration and License to Practice at the time of appointment.
  • ATLS/ETC, APLS, ALS provider status (or UK-recognised equivalent).
  • Level 3 adult and child protection training.
  • FRCEM or equivalent.
  • Higher Degree.
  • ALS/ ATLS/ ETC/ APLS Instructor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Wide experience in ED, including a developed system/advanced model of EM.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of all patients in an ED.
  • Experience of quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of research methodology.
  • Experience in completing research, publications, and national presentation.
  • Advanced degree in research.
