Job Title: LBTQ Women's Substance Support Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a skilled and compassionate Outreach Worker to join our Substance Support team. The successful candidate will work with individuals who struggle with substance misuse, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage with individuals who require substance support services
  • Provide harm minimization guidance and support to reduce the incidence of poor health among LBTQ women
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement effective support strategies
  • Report to the Lead Development Officer, Substance Support Service
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in substance support or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of harm minimization principles and practices
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £24,666 per annum (pro-rata)
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions
  • 25 days' annual leave per annum (pro-rata) plus bank holidays
  • A fixed-term contract to 31 March 2025, ongoing subject to funding
