Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Worker to join our Substance Support team. The successful candidate will work with LBTQ women in Birmingham to provide substance support services and reduce the incidence of substance misuse issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage with and support LBTQ women in Birmingham to identify and address substance misuse issues.
- Provide substance support services from the Birmingham LGBT Centre and in off-site outreach locations.
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Development Officer, Substance Support Service, to achieve the overall aim of the substance support service.
- Proven experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly LBTQ women.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A competitive salary of £24,666 per annum (pro rata) for 18.5 hours per week.
- Up to 5% matched pension contributions.
- 25 days annual leave per annum (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
- A permanent contract.
