Job Summary:

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our substance support team as a LBTQ Women's Outreach Worker. The successful candidate will engage with and support LBTQ women in Birmingham, identifying and addressing substance misuse issues to improve their overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide substance support services to LBTQ women in Birmingham, including outreach and engagement activities.
  • Identify and address substance misuse issues, working closely with the Lead Development Officer and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote the substance support service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the substance support service's strategic plan.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve service goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly LBTQ women.
  • Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and their impact on LBTQ women.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
