LGBTQ+ Women's Substance Support Specialist

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate LGBTQ+ Women's Substance Support Outreach Worker to join our team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in providing support and guidance to individuals within the LGBTQ+ community who are facing substance misuse challenges. Your primary focus will be on harm reduction and promoting overall well-being among LGBTQ+ women in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with individuals experiencing substance misuse issues within the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to help individuals navigate their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Promote a harm reduction approach to substance use, emphasizing safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at reducing substance misuse within the LGBTQ+ community.
