Job Title: LBTQ Women's Substance Support Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our substance support team as an LBTQ Women's Substance Support Outreach Worker.

About the Role:

  • Identify and engage with individuals with substance misuse issues, providing support and guidance to reduce the incidence of poor health among LBTQ women in Birmingham.
  • Work within a harm minimisation framework and the overall aims of the substance support service.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide substance support services from the Birmingham LGBT Centre and in off-site outreach locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outreach services to LBTQ women with substance misuse issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the substance support service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in substance support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £24,666 per annum (pro-rata) for 18.5 hours per week.
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions.
  • 25 days' annual leave per annum (pro-rata) plus bank holidays.
