Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Job Description: As a Product Development Engineer for Ergonomic Solutions, you will be responsible for designing ergonomic solutions for interaction with technology, including theoretical mathematical evaluations of design and relevant issue resolution. You will also optimize designs of components and assemblies through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure they are structurally sound and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ergonomic solutions for interaction with technology
- Optimize designs of components and assemblies through FEA
- Ensure engineering support is given to products in transition from prototyping through to production
- Work closely with our global design team to ensure timely and thorough responses to queries
- Maintain the integrity of new and existing products in terms of performance, specifications, and quality
Required Skills and Qualifications: We require a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, as well as comprehensive knowledge of FEA and CAD packages, particularly Solidworks. Experience in design for manufacture and assembly, with a background in production, is essential. Strong theoretical engineering ability and good knowledge of plastic injection moulding or Aluminium die casting techniques are also required.
