Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team and help build and maintain the Spectrum-CSS project. This project is an open-source, framework-agnostic implementation of Spectrum for the web, designed to be standards-based and framework agnostic.

Your Role

You will have direct ownership and play a key role in ensuring Spectrum is available for consumers in a timely, stable, and scalable way. This includes building cool things, having meaningful ownership, and growing your skills by sharpening them and learning how to take ownership of important aspects of our system.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with deep experience around CSS architecture and practices, solid knowledge of the ecosystem, especially practices for npm package development, versioning, and publishing, and experience working on a fast-paced, multi-person open source project. A pragmatic, collaborative, and open-minded outlook is essential, as well as a high degree of comfort working in an environment with complex demands from multiple stakeholders.

">

Compensation

">

We offer a competitive salary range of $124,000 -- $234,200 annually, based on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
