About the Role:

The Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Vascular Access Unit. As a Specialist Nurse in Vascular Access, you will play a key role in providing expert care to patients requiring central lines and vascular access devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insertion and management of central lines, including PICC lines, temporary CVCs, and midlines.
  • Removal of Hickman lines and support of Clinical Nurse Specialists with the insertion of CVADs.
  • Teaching and mentoring of staff and patients on vascular access procedures and best practices.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the NMC as a registered nurse.
  • Relevant experience in vascular access, including insertion and management of central lines.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and teaching or mentoring qualifications.
