About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Portering and Post Room Services department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of porters and post room staff, ensuring that an efficient and patient-focused service is delivered across the Trust.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of porters and post room staff to deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • Ensuring the efficient movement of patients, samples, and medical records across the Trust
  • Supporting, directing, guiding, and training staff in the Portering and Post Room Services department
  • Working alongside staff as a member of the team at operational level

The ideal candidate will have significant experience dealing with the public in a diverse, fast-moving, customer-oriented organization, and possess excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and the ability to work on own initiative in decision-making.

They will also have a full UK driving license, minimum of one year's experience of leading a team, and IT skills.

The Team Leader will have administrative duties, including processing time sheets, undertaking staff appraisals, and maintaining electronic training records.
