Job Summary

The Portering and Post Room Services department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensuring an efficient and patient-focused portering service across the Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of porters and post room staff to provide a high-quality service, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and patient flow.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including time sheets, staff appraisals, and training records.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to drive a vehicle.
