Portering Team Leader

About the Role
The Portering and Post Room Services department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a talented and experienced Team Leader to deliver an outstanding customer experience. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and patient-focused portering service is delivered across the Trust.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a team of porters to maximize performance and productivity in line with Trust expectations.
- Support, direct, guide, and train staff in the Portering and Post Room Services department.
- Work alongside staff as a member of the team at operational level, moving patients, samples, and medical records across the Trust in a safe and efficient manner.
- Process time sheets, undertake staff appraisals, and maintain electronic training records.
Requirements
- Significant experience dealing with the public in a diverse, fast-moving, customer-oriented organization.
- Full UK driving license.
- Minimum of one year's experience of leading a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to assess, instruct, and train staff.
- Ability to work on own initiative in decision-making.
- Good leadership skills.
- IT skills.
