About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portering Team Leader to join our Transfusion Unit at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and deliver a range of treatments and procedures
  • Join an enthusiastic and dynamic team, delivering a range of transfusions and infusions to a wide group of patients
  • Administer a variety of infusions and transfusions, including blood and platelets, iron, MG, biologics, antibiotics, zoledronic acid, pamidronate, factor 8, and immunoblots
  • Undertake and document comprehensive assessments of patients and check patients' bloods prior to procedures
  • Formulate and document plans of nursing care in partnership with patients, clients, and their families within a framework of informed consent
Requirements
  • NMC Registration
  • Safe Administration of IV and Oral Medication
  • Picc Line Competencies
  • Blood Transfusion Competencies
