Job Title: Graduate LSA (Learning Support Assistant)

We are currently working with a specialist provision for a fantastic secondary school in Barnet, attached to the main school which supports 200+ students.

About the Provision:

  • The Special Resource Provision is an additionally resourced provision within the mainstream school, offering up to 49 places for pupils with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).
  • The Provision is designed to provide for students who have a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum condition (ASC) as a primary need in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), can access the Social Thinking curriculum, benefit from learning alongside peer models, and have their behaviour modified and managed within the unit.

Curriculum:

  • Students follow the National Curriculum, with the long-term view of taking up to 5 GCSEs at the end of Y11, focusing on developing social cognition through the SCERTS framework and the Social Thinking curriculum.
  • Most students also follow ASDAN/CoPE courses, the Personal and Social Development curriculum, and the Employability and Work-Related Learning curriculum.

  • Experience supporting students with autism across the spectrum

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:15am - 3:30pm, Friday: 8:15am - 2:15pm

Location:

Near High Barnet Underground Station and Cockfosters Underground Station. Parking available at school site.

Salary: £85 per day (up to £100 per day)
