About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic SEN Teacher to join our supportive and committed team, working with students who have SEMH needs and those accessing Alternative Provision.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in delivering tailored educational experiences that engage, motivate, and inspire students to achieve their full potential. This involves creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behavior and engagement, and fostering a safe and stimulating atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH and AP backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students' learning, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet their evolving needs.

About You:

  • A proven track record of working with students with SEMH needs and/or in Alternative Provision settings is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Competitive Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
