About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Expert to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness, Filton, Frimley, Broadoak, Weymouth, or Brough.

We are looking for an individual with expertise in deterministic nuclear safety assessment and authoring of nuclear safety cases.

The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline and previous experience in safety analysis and safety case production for high-hazard industries.

This role offers a competitive salary of £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Job

This position involves deterministic nuclear safety assessment for build and commission of Dreadnought and future class submarines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring nuclear safety cases, including results of deterministic and probabilistic analyses of the submarine build and commission activities.

Other responsibilities include ALARP assessments of new and legacy facilities and equipment, definition, agreement, and implementation of safety case requirements, and management of internal and external interfaces.
