Nuclear Safety Expert Required

We are seeking a highly experienced Nuclear Safety Expert to join our team as a Senior Radiological Safety Assessor. The successful candidate will work on a contract basis in Warrington, providing expertise in radiological safety assessment and management.

About the Job:

  • Preparation, review, and support through due process of Radiological HAZANs, Operational Safety Memoranda (OSM), and Design Safety Memoranda (DSM).
  • Preparation of Safety Case documentation, including PICSR, PACSR, Safety Case Summary, and OSMs to support PMPs.
  • Preparation, verification, and oversight of Construction Crane Assessments.
  • Oversight and verification of work carried out by Graduate and Junior Assessors.
  • Engagement with INSA and attendance at Regulatory Engagement Meetings.

What You'll Need:

  • Degree qualified in Science and Engineering or related discipline.
  • Senior grade Safety Assessor with moderate and relevant practitioner experience in a nuclear or high-hazard environment.
  • The ability to work independently and produce assessments with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in peer review, verification, and QA of Safety Assessments.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
