Job Summary

Position Overview:

The Regional Commercial Analytics Director will serve as a strategic advisor to the regional and country teams within the International Commercial organization at Vertex.

This role will report to the International Sr. Director of Global Insights Analytics & Commercial Operations (GIACO), with a dotted line into the Regional Vice President (RVP) of Northern Europe and Australia and Distributors (NEAD), and will be primarily responsible for providing analytical decision support to the Regional Leadership Teams, leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic decision making.

The Regional Commercial Analytics Director will focus on country execution and performance monitoring, partnering with the NEA RVP to build insight and analytics-driven teams and competitive mindsets for the future.

This role will be based in Vertex's regional office and will work in close partnership with colleagues based in International HQ, regional, and local teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to inform business decisions and drive growth within the region.
  • Partner with the International GIACO team to co-create common dashboards and analytics solutions to drive strategic decision making.
  • Ensure alignment across International, Regional, and Country teams on key performance indicators (KPIs) to enable consistent tracking of performance.
  • Support change management efforts by building data and digital literacy within the NEA region.
  • Collaborate with local and regional teams to leverage data and analytics tools to drive excellence in execution.
  • Develop and maintain data quality frameworks to ensure high standards of data quality across the region.
  • Work seamlessly across Country, Regional, and International teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Coordinate with countries and IHQ functions for key data, analytics, and market research initiatives.
  • Support the NEA RVP with business reviews coordination and facilitation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar field and equivalent combined education.
  • Prior commercial experience within a similar field.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret data for decision making.
  • Digital agility and understanding of multi-channel marketing and market research.
  • Customer-facing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Innovative and flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
