Highland Telecommunications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Highland Telecommunications Specialist to join our team at NHS Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
About the RoleThis role involves working as a Telephonist on our Raigmore Hospital digital switchboard, dealing with a high volume of calls and providing first-line communication to colleagues and the general public. The successful candidate will present a helpful and polite manner to both internal and external callers, while maintaining the high quality and service standards required.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and possess good communication skills. Previous telecoms experience would be beneficial, but all training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Provide efficient and effective communication services to patients, staff, and visitors
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless communication
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service skills
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of telecommunications principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with digital switchboards and call management systems
