About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Design Manager to join our team at Trant Engineering Limited. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and intelligent production of design deliverables for process-related projects within the water, wastewater, and biosolids sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Coordination: Coordinate and manage design resources to ensure the timely and satisfactory production of design deliverables against the DORM (Design, Organisation and Responsibilities Matrix) and Project Design Programme.
  • Interface Management: Manage the interfaces with third-party designs from consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Design Oversight: Work with design consultants to oversee all design output and ensure compliance with Trant procedures.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Manage and provide weekly/monthly reports against the DORM and Contract Programme, and monitor and report design expenditure against the DORM and as required, put in place strategies for mitigating overspend.
  • Client Relationships: Manage relationships and communications with clients and their representatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: MEng/BEng – Civil Engineering or Marine
  • Experience: Experience working within design and construction organisations, with a history of working within the water/wastewater sectors.
  • Skills: Previous/current experience of working closely with environmental and planning teams would be advantageous.
