About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Healthcare Assistant to join our team at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our experienced and specialist workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with varying needs and conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver effective care plans and promote patient well-being.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and clinical procedures.
Requirements
  • GCSE equivalent in English and Mathematics, with ability to produce certificates on interview day.
  • Willingness to complete Care Certificate within first 6 months of commencement in post, with payment at Band 2 until completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a busy and varied environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, and relevant legislation.
