Job Summary

The Defence School of Logistics and Administration (DSLA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Food Safety Instructor to join our Catering Training Wing (CTW) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and administering training in Food Safety and Health and Safety up to Level 4 standard, ensuring compliance with Food Safety standards across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver Food Safety and Health and Safety training programs for military catering personnel up to Level 4 standard.
  • Coordinate the management of Safety training with awarding bodies.
  • Oversee and direct Food Safety practices within the wing.
  • Provide expert Food Safety advice and guidance to the wing to enable effective management of risks and compliance with legal responsibilities.
  • Act as a member of the department management team.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of delivering training programs to various levels of ability, from apprentices at level 2 to junior leaders at level 4. The ideal candidate will have catering experience at a managerial level, with a strong background in Health and Safety within the workplace. Relevant culinary qualifications and a Level 4 Food Safety Qualification are highly desirable.
