Chef Instructor

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Instructor to join our team at the Defence Centre of Catering Excellence. As a key member of our culinary training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to military chefs, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for military chefs, including practical lessons, demonstrations, and lectures.
• Evaluate and amend lesson plans to ensure they meet the needs of our trainees.
• Conduct assessments and provide feedback to trainees, both orally and in writing.
• Evaluate equipment and recipes in the context of our training requirements.
• Comply with relevant food policies and regulations.
• Carry out invigilator duties for internal and external examinations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Culinary Skills Qualification (GNVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with trainees, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality training and ensuring the success of our trainees.
