Schedule: Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning difficulties, including social emotional mental health, ADHD, childhood trauma, and attachment issues, in a special school in Grantham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis or in classes
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support for pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children/young adults with SEMH needs
  • Passion for working with SEMH pupils
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and patience when working with challenging behaviors
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to working full-time
