Job Description

Job Title: Digital Media Services Technician

Job Summary:

The Digital Media Services Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and support of the Trust's digital media services customer base and projects. The role will involve providing comprehensive support for all trust-wide meetings and events, including audio visual and video conferencing services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering digital media projects and managing change
  • Providing digital media services, including video conferencing, audio visual, and integrated bookings solutions
  • Managing and maintaining audio visual and video conferencing equipment and venues
  • Implementing new digital media services and technologies
  • Supporting the development and implementation of operational standards and processes
  • Providing technical support for video conferencing events and live surgical/clinical events
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement new digital media services and technologies

Requirements:

  • Delivering digital media projects and managing change
  • Expertise and experience of providing digital media services, including video conferencing, audio visual, and integrated bookings solutions
  • Experience integrating audio visual solutions with clinical imaging and video
  • In-depth experience in the provision of digital media services, including audio visual, video conferencing, and integrated bookings solutions
  • Audio visual and video conferencing venue maintenance and management
  • Integrated control systems, including Crestron/AMX solutions
  • Digital media/audio visual switching and matrices solutions
  • AV over IP, including Spot Cams
  • Visual/imaging/display devices, including projection, LCD/LED/plasma, and intelligent whiteboard devices
  • Delivering technical services for video conferencing events and live surgical/clinical events
  • Implementing new video conferencing and audio visual solutions and venues
  • Event production and support, including live surgical/clinical events
  • Proven in-depth experience as a video conferencing technician/engineer in a large organization

Skills:

  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
  • Expertise in configuring and managing video conferencing endpoints and infrastructure components
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Previous production management experience within the field of events/conferences/seminars, including multipoint video conferencing
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing operational standards and processes
  • Advanced user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project

Knowledge/Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, equivalent experience
  • Recognized qualification in a relevant digital media related discipline
  • CTS Certified Technical Specialist Infocomm University qualification
