Job Summary:

The role of Health and Wellbeing Assistant is a vital part of our school's commitment to the health and wellbeing of our students and staff. As a Health and Wellbeing Assistant, you will be responsible for assessing the medical and welfare needs of students and staff, administering front-line First Aid, and ensuring that students with ongoing medical needs are supported in school in line with their Individual Health Care Plans. You will also be responsible for administering approved medication to students and maintaining records and reports, including those for statutory requirements.

This is a part-time position, working 32.30 hours per week, term time plus 5 days. You will be part of a wider team and will need to be flexible in approach, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative. A current First Aid qualification and previous experience of working in a healthcare or mental health/wellbeing role are essential.

We offer a pleasant working environment, a commitment to the health and wellbeing of our students and staff, and good training and development opportunities. We are a very friendly, down-to-earth school with a diverse student population and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
