About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive individual to join our team as a Group Support Volunteer at our Dementia Resource Centre in Peterborough. As a Group Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting people affected by dementia to engage in activities and socialise with others in a group setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortable and included
  • Offer refreshments and support with setting up and tidying away at the end of the group
  • Support the group leader to ensure the smooth running of the group

What You'll Gain

As a Group Support Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. You will gain valuable experience and skills in supporting people with dementia, as well as the opportunity to meet new people and be part of a supportive team.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, and able to work as part of a team. You will need to be available to support the group every Wednesday afternoon and be willing to commit to a regular schedule.
