About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support people affected by dementia in our Think and Share Peer Support Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with people affected by dementia, providing a friendly and supportive environment.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying away at the group, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Help facilitate activities and social events, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.

What You'll Gain

As a Group Support Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in supporting people affected by dementia, helping them to access the support and information they need. You'll also have the opportunity to develop new skills, build relationships, and make a real difference in your community.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people affected by dementia, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll need to be available to support the group every Wednesday afternoon, with flexibility to help with setup and tidying away.
