About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Volunteer Program Manager to join our team at Charity People. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing a comprehensive volunteer program that supports our mission to empower volunteers and transform lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Volunteer Program Strategy: Create and execute a strategic plan to engage and retain volunteers, ensuring a high-quality experience for all participants.
  • Recruit and Manage Volunteers: Attract, recruit, and manage a diverse group of volunteers, providing training and support to ensure their success.
  • Build Partnerships and Collaborations: Foster relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to expand our volunteer base and increase our impact.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Track and analyze program metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve volunteer engagement and program outcomes.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with volunteers, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience in Volunteer Management: Proven track record of developing and implementing successful volunteer programs, with a focus on engagement, retention, and program evaluation.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on program development, evaluation, and improvement.
  • Project Management and Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
