About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Volunteer Programme Lead to join our team at Charity People. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in building and managing a team of dedicated volunteers who will help us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement strategies to meet the needs of our charity and hospital partners.
  • Champion volunteering within the hospital and local communities, promoting the value and impact of volunteering.
  • Coordinate the Charity Hubs within the hospital, ensuring they are staffed by exceptional volunteers who provide an outstanding patient experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the charity and hospital to build strong relationships and drive volunteer engagement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, with a track record of building and leading high-performing volunteer teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
  • Passion for community development and a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
