Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Level 2 Application Support Engineer to join our Belfast office and help expand our global support footprint for our suite of core products, used by top names in the financial services industry.


We are looking for an individual with 3+ years' experience working primarily with customer support in financial services. This role requires someone who can work effectively as part of the local and wider global team, along with the ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership. We are seeking someone with:


  • A passion for technology, with an ability and desire to pick up new technologies
  • Experience of first and second-level support, and client onboarding
  • Understanding of support processes, and ability to react and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong skills in Unix/Linux-based environments
  • Experience with Financial Services, in particular concepts of Market Data and Order Entry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills


While any potential candidate will be expected to learn new and unfamiliar concepts as part of their day-to-day role, knowledge and experience of any of the following would be advantageous:


  • Networking
  • Deployment Management
  • Knowledge of common scripting languages and ability to automate common processes, and interact with existing frameworks
  • FX / FI & Crypto Markets
  • Messaging protocols, in particular FIX & ITCH
