Speech Therapist Job Description

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications from qualified Speech Therapists to join our dedicated Children's SLT team.

As a Speech Therapist, you will work autonomously, providing assessment, diagnosis, and management to children with communication disorders within the context of our multidisciplinary team.

Main Duties:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and management to children with communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure multi-disciplinary care planning and intervention.
  • Contribute to supervision and training of Speech Therapy Assistants and students.
  • Maintain accurate records and caseload management in accordance with local and national standards.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent registration with the HCPC and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Experience working with children with communication difficulties.
  • Awareness of national and local clinical guidelines for children with SEND.
