We are seeking experienced Mental Health Practitioners to join our Community Mental Health Service on the Isle of Wight.

As a Community Support Specialist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team managing a caseload of people with complex mental health needs and offering evidence-based interventions.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide care, interventions, and health promotion to individuals with severe mental health problems in the community.
  • To undertake a supervisory role in respect to multi-disciplinary junior team members and work alongside the Team Leader on clinical issues such as therapeutic approaches and care coordination.
  • To work autonomously and take opportunities to become actively involved in training and teaching programmes within the Trust and the wider community.

Person Specification
  • RN [MH] with live NMC registration or OT or Social worker with current professional registration.
  • Evidence of ongoing development and post-registration training.
  • Post-registration training in evidence-based psychological treatments.
  • Demonstrable Care Co-Ordinator Competencies.
  • Training in Risk assessment and management skills.
  • Experience in assessing and managing individuals with serious and enduring mental health conditions.
Salary and Benefits

£37,338 to £44,962 per annum based on full-time hours
