The Nuclear Assurance Specialist will lead and assist in the performance of independent internal audits of departments involved in nuclear safety, such as maintenance, operations, engineering, radiation protection and selected other activities. This includes reviewing documents, preparing checklists and agendas for audits, performing audits, conducting pre and post audit interviews and preparing final audit reports. The specialist will also ensure and document that corrective actions are taken based on report findings.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Nuclear Assurance Specialist may perform surveillances, assessments, observations, and other assignments as directed by supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear quality assurance and experience with regulatory requirements.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Nuclear Assurance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and for communicating audit results to stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. This role is based at our Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant location.
