Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and innovative Travel Systems Architect to play a pivotal role in our technology-driven organization. This position involves managing the seamless operation of our travel systems and ensuring effective connectivity.

This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level developer eager to transition into a solutions architect role.

You will report directly to the Head of Strategy, Growth, and Development, collaborating closely with the IT Operations Manager and Loading System Manager, as well as external developers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and resolve issues related to our APIs, booking engine, and quote system.

· Collaborate with booking engine developers and internal teams to troubleshoot user challenges.

· Oversee the end-to-end management of new API integrations.

· Monitor and adjust API feeds to optimize service delivery.

· Manage caching requirements for flights and properties.

· Identify enhancements for our content management system, including custom coding to improve functionality for users.

· Develop a comprehensive visual representation of our systems, including data flows and integration points.

· Utilize monitoring tools to detect bottlenecks and propose improvements.

· Assess our systems architecture and collaborate with the IT Operations Manager to formulate a long-term optimization strategy aligned with our business objectives.

· Engage with internal stakeholders, including senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Intuitive systems.

· Familiarity with static contract loading and dual loading setups.

· Understanding of techniques to enhance server-side and client-side performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PHP and Laravel, with experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), microservices architecture, API design, and database management (SQL, NoSQL), Postman, and relevant development tools.

Experience: 3-5 years in the travel industry, with at least 2 years in a relevant role.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to independently tackle complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
