Job Title: Software Systems Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Systems Architect to join our ambitious and technology-driven team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the successful operation of our travel systems and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operation of our travel systems and connectivity, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Head of Strategy, Growth and Development and IT operations manager to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our technology stack, including APIs, databases, and applications.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the functionality of our content management system, including writing bespoke code.
  • Create a visual map of our systems, including data flows and integration points.
  • Use monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
  • Analyse our systems architecture and recommend a 5-year optimisation plan that supports our business goals.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the Managing Director and Commercial Director.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of travel APIs and experience in the travel industry.
  • Proficiency in PHP and Laravel, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), microservices architecture, API design, and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with Postman and relevant developer tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
