Job Title: Software Systems Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Systems Architect to join our ambitious and technology-driven business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for personally managing the successful operation of our travel systems and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thorough understanding of travel APIs and ability to read and write code across the technology stack.
  • Understanding of the full technology stack and its underlying applications, services, and databases to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the functioning of our content management system, including writing bespoke code to enhance its capabilities for internal users.
  • Create a visual map of our systems, including data flows and integration points.
  • Use monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
  • Analyse our systems architecture and work with our IT operations manager to recommend a 5-year optimisation plan that supports our business goals.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including our Managing Director and Commercial Director.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP and Laravel, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), microservices architecture, API design, and database management (SQL, NoSQL), Postman, and relevant developer tools.
  • Travel experience: 3-5 years+ experience, at least 2 of which will have been in travel.
