Job Description

Datacenter System Software Architect

European Tech Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Datacenter System Software Architect to join our team in London. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the end-to-end delivery of systems software for our datacenter infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Datacenter System Software Architect, you will serve as a bridge between various teams across countries, working closely with data center infrastructure teams, computing resource management teams, SRE teams, and end business teams to drive stability engineering, performance optimization engineering, and new directions in system-level hardware and software co-design.
  • You will be responsible for initializing and managing complex, cross-functional programs and leading all aspects of assigned program delivery.
  • You will create and maintain the roadmap for the team, defining the way of driving these programs and constantly finding ways to improve them in a data-driven manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Many years of deep system software background, including OS, Kernel, Storage, Networking, and Compiler expertise.
  • Good understanding of datacenter system software knowledge, including server architecture, CPU/GPU architecture, server firmware, OS, Linux Kernel, datacenter networking, datacenter storage, or compilers.

Desirable Experience:

  • Effective communication skills to handle communications with teams, management, and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, with a proven track record of getting things done and shipping projects.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving environment where self-motivation, autonomy, and self-decision making are required, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks.
  • Experience working in multi-time zones and multi-culture environments is preferred.
  • Passion for the Internet industry and a willingness to grow with the company, learning by dealing with emerging global issues and challenges.
