Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Front of House Server to join our team at Bill's Café and Bar. As a Front of House Server, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by hosting with flair and personality. You will be the face of our restaurant, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Knowledge and Restaurant Layout

Develop a comprehensive understanding of our menu, promotions, drinks specifications, and restaurant layout. This will enable you to provide accurate information to guests and ensure a seamless dining experience.

Take Ownership of the Floor

Assume responsibility for the floor, showcasing a proactive and dedicated approach to duties. This includes overseeing tasks, managing responsibilities effectively, and performing additional duties assigned by management.

Bar Knowledge and Cross-Training

Be cross-trained on the bar to provide assistance when needed and support with maintaining high cleaning standards. This will enable you to create a flexible working environment and provide excellent service to our guests.

Welcoming Guests and Providing Feedback

Assist in welcoming guests to the café and bar, giving them a great first impression. Provide feedback to managers regarding any guest comments, positive or negative, to enhance overall service quality.

Health and Safety and Company Updates

Adhere to Bill's Allergy procedures and legislation guidelines at all times, ensuring the safety of guests with allergies and dietary requirements. Keep informed of all company and restaurant-specific updates by attending meetings or utilizing other communication channels.

Cleanliness and Safety

Diligently maintain cleanliness in all front-of-house areas, including regular checks on guest toilets. Actively put health and safety guidelines into practice, demonstrating a strict commitment to prioritizing the well-being of oneself and others in the restaurant.

Collaboration and Efficiency

Work closely with the entire restaurant team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. This includes effective communication and cooperation to create a harmonious restaurant atmosphere.

Training and Development

Take responsibility for completing all mandatory and job-specific training to perform tasks safely and correctly. Engage proactively in continuous learning to enhance job knowledge and contribute to a safe and efficient workplace.
