Tenant Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tenant Support Specialist to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our Housing Management team, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive housing management services and supporting tenants to maintain their tenancies.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to tenants with managing their tenancy, including assistance with housing benefit claims and referrals to relevant support services.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of service users to determine eligibility for services and identifying areas of risk or need.
- Working closely with the Housing Management team to ensure accurate tenancy setup, tenant engagement, and adherence to tenancy agreements.
- Coordinating the procurement of necessary furniture and equipment for properties, as required.
- Collaborating with the Asset Management team to maintain exceptional property standards, address maintenance issues promptly, and ensure properties remain safe and habitable.
- Optimising rent collection and adhering to arrears management policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a housing management position, preferably within the supported housing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of housing policies, tenancy law, and arrears management.
- Proven ability to assess service user needs effectively, identify risks, and develop tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with external partners and stakeholders.
Contract Details
This is a fixed-term contract for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and receive a competitive hourly rate of £16.45 (LTD) or £16.02 (PAYE), inclusive of holiday pay.
