About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader who can improve experiences and outcomes for Cornwall's children and families in an empowering working environment where professional expertise can flourish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services to children and families
  • Shape and further improve early help and children's social care services
  • Lead specific practice areas across Cornwall to drive innovation and evidence-based interventions
  • Further strengthen staff confidence, capability, wellbeing, and resilience
Requirements
  • Qualified and registered social worker
  • Proven track record of effective leadership in social care (ideally within a Local Authority setting)
  • Ability to lead the development and delivery of innovative, evidence-based interventions
  • Strong commitment to improving children's experiences and outcomes
  • Expertise in building the confidence, capabilities, and resilience of the workforce
  • Excellent ability to foster a positive, supportive work environment
  • Willingness to engage in mentoring or coaching to further develop leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a senior leadership team
