About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Children's Community Nurse to join our team in Cornwall. As a key member of our community nursing service, you will work closely with children and their families to provide high-quality care and support.

As a Children's Community Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering care to children with complex health needs. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan care for children with complex health needs
  • Deliver high-quality care and support to children and their families
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with children, families, and healthcare teams
  • Contribute to the development of our community nursing service and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Current professional registration with the NMC
  • Teaching or mentoring qualification
  • Non-medical prescriber
  • Substantial post-registration experience working with children with complex health needs
  • Experience of supporting and supervising other team members and/or students
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective communication with children, families, and healthcare teams
