About the Role

The Deputy Head of Operations will be responsible for leading the operational delivery of the Women's Hospital, working closely with the Women's Hospital Quadrumvirate Senior Leadership Team. This will include operational delivery, service development, and strategic planning.

The post holder will deputise for the Head of Operations in the full range of duties and will have fully delegated decision-making responsibilities during any period of deputising.

The role requires a senior leader with experience within the healthcare sector at a senior manager level, with a proven track record of achieving challenging healthcare targets. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering programmes of change within a healthcare setting and will be able to manage and report on complex performance management information.

About the Team

The Women's Hospital is home to a number of significant services, offering tertiary care to the population of Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, right across the East Midlands and beyond. This includes two maternity sites delivering in excess of 10,000 births per year, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which cares for some of the most complex neonatal patients across the region, and an expansive tertiary Gynaecology service with now approaching 40 Consultant colleagues working across numerous sub-specialties.

The wider CMG has a budget exceeding £200m, a workforce of more than 2,000 colleagues, and delivers numerous specialist and tertiary services across our six Directorates of Paediatric Medicine (Children's), Paediatric Surgery (Children's), Paediatric Critical Care (Children's), Specialist Transport (Children's), Maternity & Neonates (Women's), and Gynaecology, Genetics, and Leicester Fertility Centre (Women's).
