Job Title: Executive Chef and Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Operations Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality food, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of our food service facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise and manage a team of culinary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food production.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of food service facilities, including inventory management, budgeting, and implementing action plans to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Represent Compass Group UK and maintain a positive brand image through exceptional customer service and high-quality food production.
  • Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction, working closely with the culinary and service teams to implement and review new initiatives.
  • Liaise between customers and the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Support and train team members, leading by example to ensure everyone has the opportunity to excel in their role.
  • Implement and review health and safety standards to ensure compliance across all food service and catering teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and driving sales growth.
  • Hold an NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 in a relevant culinary discipline.
  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ambitious and motivated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food production.
