Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock Management: Ensure all stocks are maintained under optimal conditions, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Mise en Place: Prepare all mise en place freshly and on time, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Recipe Adherence: Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the correct recipes and quantities, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Presentation: Ensure dishes reach the hot plate or pass with the correct garnish, portion size, and presentation, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment, adhering to our high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Communication: Promptly communicate any anticipated shortages to the Head Chef, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a professional work environment, treating all staff fairly and with courtesy, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Leadership: Deputise in the Head Chef's absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed, demonstrating leadership skills and expertise.
  • Professional Development: Attend training courses and seminars as required, and strive to study management subjects for future advancement, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company rules and regulations relating to Hygiene, Health, and Safety, ensuring they are strictly followed and recorded correctly.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of excellence in food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
